*If you could trade places with any fictional character, who would it be and why?
- This is a surprisingly tough question to answer... First of all, for how long?? A day, a year, for the rest of my life? Do I get to pick and choose the nice stuff in their world or do I have to face the same adversaries?
I think for the experience I'd pick someone who lives on another planet or under the sea or something, someone who goes on an adventure that's not too stressful... *nerd-alert* The first character that came to mind was the dude from Subtle Knife. Cutting into other dimensions could be pretty cool. OR perhaps I'd just go for a more adult approach and swap places with a character from one of Rachel Cusk's novels going on a holiday to Greece. I'd definitely like some time on the beach right now.

*What is one thing you've always wanted to do but haven't had the chance to?
- Play a live gig with a proper band: strings, drummer n all. Also sticking to the beach theme I think I'd like surfing /kite surfing but have never tried (yet).

*What is the most spontaneous thing you've ever done?
- Another tough one! I guess moving to France on a 7-day notice.. But then I was already hanging out there half of the time so it wasn't that big of a leap.
